A delegation from the French city of Dreux visited Dakhla on Wednesday to explore economic potential, major development projects, and partnership opportunities in the Dakhla-Oued Eddahab region, following the recent signing of a friendship pact between the two cities.

The international momentum driven over the years by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, in favor of the Moroccan Sahara and in support of the autonomy Initiative continues to grow, reflecting the international community's consensus on the need to put an end to this regional dispute, within the framework of the Kingdom's national sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Morocco is actively participating in the third Africa-Spain Summit, held from July 6 to 8 in Madrid, under the theme "Cooperating Together within a Strategic Relationship."

Liberia, as a new non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council starting 2026, reaffirmed on Friday in Rabat, its support for Morocco’s territorial integrity and its sovereignty over all its territory, including the Sahara region.

The Republic of Guatemala affirmed on Thursday that the autonomy initiative put forward by Morocco in 2007 is “the only serious, credible and realistic basis to move towards a lasting agreement for a definitive settlement of this artificial conflict, in full respect of the Kingdom’s territorial integrity and its national sovereignty.”
