CORCAS Works and statement at the end of its 1st regular session in 2008

The CORCAS greets the achievements in terms of health in the southeast region and expresses its satisfaction over the conclusions of Mr. Peter Van Walsum, the Personal Envoy of the UN Secretary-General to the Sahara that the independence "option" is not realistic" and that "Polisario should give it up".

A group of Moroccan Sahrawis, victims of torture, deportation, and serious human rights violations, testified, on Tuesday, before the European Parliament on the ordeal they underwent by the Polisario in the Camps of Tindouf, south-western Algeria.
