9/24/2018

The first European Business & Kitesurf Summit (B2B Kite Summit) opened Thursday in Dakhla, with the participation of 200 businessmen and representatives of investment funds from all over Europe.

In a statement to the press, Laurent Houitte, founder of Kit and Connect Club, initiator of B2B Kite Summit, said that the city of Dakhla will host, for three days, the first edition of this summit which brings together participants from Spain, the United States, Mauritius and Reunion, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium and Great Britain.

"Dakhla is for us as the new Hawaii" and " primary destination" for kitesurfing, given its exceptional weather conditions, said Houitte, citing the sustainable ecological system of the Dakhla Lagoon and accommodation services of quality of the city.

According to him, the summit offers the opportunity for businessmen to promote the sharing of expertise and experiences with representatives of investment funds and promoters of French, European and Moroccan projects.

B2B Kite Summit is about the future, an accelerator of meetings and innovation where participants come together for three days to speak digital, human and heritage.

The first edition of this European sporting event of an economic nature is marked by the holding of about 1,500 sessions, meetings and workshops bringing together various stakeholders in terms of entrepreneurship and kitesurfing.

By grouping together several European kiteboarder clubs like Kite and Connect in France, Belgium, FKC in Germany, and their networks of more than 1,000 entrepreneurs, B2B Kit Summit aims to become the first European entrepreneurs' summit in this sports discipline.

This event allows entrepreneurs and start-ups to network, build partnerships, identify new markets, connect to an ecosystem of potential investors and raise funds from guests. In addition, media, art and culture entrepreneurs were also present.
