The violations against women at the hands of the Polisario separatist militia in the Tindouf camps were condemned at an event organized Wednesday in New York by the International Network of Liberal Women.

Several Sahrawi civil society activists have denounced human rights violations and the systematic repression of dissenting voices by the polisario in the Tindouf camps, southwest Algeria.

Peruvian Congress urged the Peruvian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Monday to express its "support for the Moroccan autonomy initiative for the Sahara, recognizing its feasibility and credibility as the only solid basis for a final solution to this conflict."

The autonomy initiative for the kingdom’s southern provinces has gained international consensus to resolve the Moroccan Sahara issue, Comorian Ambassador to Rabat Yahya Mohamed Ilias affirmed on Thursday, lauding the region’s ongoing development and stability.

Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jassim Al-Budaiwi reiterated the Council's decisions and constant positions in favor of the Moroccan Sahara, the Kingdom's stability and its territorial integrity.
