Peru has confirmed its support to the Moroccan autonomy initiative for the Sahara region Underlying that his majesty Mohamed VI’s proposal favours dialogue, and the search for an amicable outcome.

Guinean Foreign Minister, Amadou Lamarana Bah, said, here Monday, that Morocco's autonomy proposal to solve the Sahara issue stems from its concern to keep the family united, stressing the need "to avoid any disintegration" in the region.

During two separate meetings with Moroccan Premier, Abbas El Fassi in Qatar, on the sidelines of the Doha International Conference on Financing for Development, the two countries' presidents hailed Morocco's Sahara initiative to grant substantial autonomy to its southern provinces.

Morocco and the Netherlands signed, here Monday, a Common Action Program affirming their mutual political will to deepen bilateral relations in political, economic and social fields.

A Moroccan delegation held, here Friday, talks with the UN Secretary General, Ban Ki-moon, on the development of the Sahara issue under the aegis of the United Nations.
