Moroccan Prime Minister, Abbas El Fassi, hosted, Wednesday, a dinner in honour of the new Personal Envoy of the UN Secretary-General for the Sahara, Christopher Ross.

The new Personal Envoy of the UN Secretary General for the Sahara, Christopher Ross, kicks off a visit to the region on Wednesday.

The chairman of the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs, Mr. Khalihenna Ould Errachid met, in Rabat Monday with a delegation led by Swedish Ambassador Robert Rydberg, Director General of the Department of Middle East and North Africa at the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Morocco's Sahara autonomy proposal "should be taken into account and discussed during negotiations," said Secretary in charge of international policy at the Spanish Socialist Labor Party (PSOE -in power), Elena Valenciano.

 The United Nations Secretary-General, Ban Ki-moon, received, Thursday at the United Nations headquarters in New York, his Special Envoy for the Sahara, Christopher Ross.
