Mr. Mohamed Maoulainain Ambassador of His Majesty the King in Australia, refuted historical errors on alleged similarity between the Sahara conflict and East Timor, in an article published recently in an Australian newspaper signed by East Timor President Jose Ramos Horta, on the sidelines of a presentation at Melbourne Festival, of documentary on slavery in the Tindouf camps, raising campaign led by Polisario supporters in Australia since its introduction last June at Sydney Festival.

The development momentum initiated in the southern provinces after their return to the motherland has gained further impetus in the last ten years thanks to the high care by His Majesty King Mohammed VI to local people and royal interest given to this part of national territory.

The delegation of ambassadors accredited to Rabat, which started Friday a three-day visit in the southern provinces of Morocco, was "very impressed" by the great potentiality and progress achieved in the region of Oued Eddahab-Lagouira.

The Central Monitoring Committee for the study of the master plan for urban development (SDAU) of the -Oued Eddahab Bay held Wednesday at Dakhla, a meeting devoted to the presentation and consideration of proposals for urban development at the peninsula. 

President of the Foreign Affairs Commission in the Portuguese parliament on Tuesday described Morocco's initiative to grant autonomy to its southern provinces, the Sahara, as "very important".
