Macedonia and Comoros support Moroccan autonomy plan in the Sahara

While announcements of the withdrawal of recognition of the so-called Polisario Republic by some countries continue, statements supporting autonomy project in the Sahara under Moroccan sovereignty increase. The most recent ones, and surely not the last, are those of Macedonia and the Comoros Islands.

Report of the UN Secretary General on the Sahara: MINURSO mission in the field of human rights will not be extended

The last report of the Secretary-General of the United Nations on the Sahara highlighted last week  Morocco's efforts to strengthen the institutional framework in promoting and protecting human rights, without referring to the" expansion of the MINURSO mission ", or any "control mechanism" of human rights in the Sahara .

HM the King: implementation of advanced regionalization as part of unity of State, nation and territory

 In view of its progress in democracy, Morocco is able to initiate the constitutional implementation of advanced regionalization

HM King Mohammed VI underlined, on Wednesday in a speech to the Nation, that regionalization should give the region its rightful place in the Constitution as a territorial entity, within the framework of the unity of the State, the nation and the territory, keeping in mind the requirements of balance and national solidarity at inter- and intraregional levels.

Informal talks on the Sahara issue kick off in Malta

 The Moroccan delegation arrived, on Monday at Mellieha, a town north-western Malta Island, to take part in the 6th set of informal talks on the Sahara, held under the aegis of Christopher Ross, UNSG's Personal Envoy for the Sahara.

The chairman of the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs, Mr. Khalihenna Ould Errachid, received Tuesday at the Council headquarters in Rabat, Roberto Leon, member of Chilean parliament and member of the opposition Christian Democratic Party.
