MEPs spoke out against the silence of the European Commission regarding the misue of humanitarian aid by Polisario, revealed by the report of the European Anti-Fraud Office (OLAF), published in 2015.

Morocco's ambassador to the UN in New York Omar Hilale spoke on Monday before the UNGA 4th committee in charge of decolonization issues after examining the Moroccan Sahara issue. He denounced the fact of keeping this issue on the committee's agenda as it violates the UN charter and the UNSC mandate.

The European Union (EU) reiterated on Monday at the UN, its "total support" to the process initiated under the aegis of the United Nations to reach a political settlement of the artificial dispute over the Moroccan Sahara, while supporting request by the Security Council to make census of the populations in Tindouf camps.
