The Kingdom of Morocco has strongly denounced the continuing actions of the Chairperson of the African Union Commission, who is trying to thwart Morocco's decision to regain its natural and legitimate position within its pan-African institutional family.

His Majesty King Mohammed VI, who is paying an official visit to Madagascar, said in an exclusive interview with the Malagasy media that separating Morocco from Africa would be "an uprooting, a mistake."

His Majesty King Mohammed VI, accompanied by HH Prince Moulay Ismail, left Ethiopia on Saturday afternoon after an official visit to the country. A joint communiqué was issued at the end of the visit.

King Mohammed VI gave, on Wednesday, a speech at the opening of the “Africa Action Summit”, held in Marrakesh on the sidelines of the 22nd Conference of Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP22).
