Morocco welcomes the provisions on the Moroccan Sahara contained in the 2017 US Appropriations Bill, signed Friday by President Donald Trump, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation said Friday.

Morocco notes with satisfaction the unanimous adoption by the UN Security Council (UNSC), on April 28th, of resolution 2351 (2017) on the issue of the Moroccan Sahara.

The Chairman of the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs, Khalihenna Ould Errachid, met today in Rabat with Ms. Clemira Pacheco Rivas, Vice-Speaker of the Chilean Parliament, who is currently on a working visit to the Kingdom.

In accordance with the High Instructions of HM King Mohammed VI, Morocco on Friday re-established its diplomatic relations with Cuba, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation said.

Through its model of development for the Sahara, Morocco has undertaken colossal efforts to promote its Southern Provinces so that they accompany the momentum of generalized development of the Kingdom, said former Peruvian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Luis Gonzalez Posada.
