UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres reaffirmed, in his latest report to the Security Council on the Moroccan Sahara, made public Friday evening, the fundamentals of the political solution to this regional dispute, as advocated by the Security Council in all its resolutions since 2007.

In his latest report to the Security Council, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres stressed that the situation in the Moroccan Sahara remains calm, which categorically denies the spurious allegations of the separatists on the situation in the southern provinces of the Kingdom.

The creation of puppet entities is part of the desperate attempts of the "Polisario" and its Algerian sponsor, to mislead the international public opinion about the ins and outs of the Sahara issue, President of the Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra region Sidi Hamdi Ould Errachid said on Tuesday.

Spanish Prime Minister, Pedro Sanchez, on Friday reiterated before the UN General Assembly Spain's call for a political solution based on compromise to the Moroccan Sahara issue in accordance with the relevant resolutions of the United Nations Security Council.

Indian daily "The Times of India" highlighted the relevance of the Moroccan autonomy initiative, as a final solution to the artificial conflict over the Moroccan Sahara.
