Speakers before the Fourth Committee of the United Nations General Assembly in New York condemned the military recruitment of children and youth in the Tindouf camps, where systematic human rights violations are being committed by the armed separatist Polisario militia.

Morocco’s southern provinces have emerged as a genuine catalyst for economic cooperation between Morocco and France, opening up new prospects for shared growth and African integration, economic actors from both countries emphasized on Thursday in Dakhla.

Morocco denounced on Tuesday the "blatant humanitarian anomaly" that has persisted for fifty years in the Tindouf camps in southwestern Algeria, calling on the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) to fully exercise its mandate. Morocco specifically urged the agency to carry out "independent and immediate registration" of the sequestered populations and ensure "free and unhindered humanitarian access" to the camps.

The President of the Dakhla-Oued Eddahab Regional Council, Yanja El Khattat, stated on Friday that the amended agricultural agreement between Morocco and the European Union (EU) constitutes a major diplomatic and economic victory for the Kingdom.
