Algerian Regime Sole Responsible for Continued Suffering of Tindouf Camps Population
The Algerian regime is solely responsible for the persistent suffering of the population of the Tindouf camps, preventing its voluntary return to the motherland, and stubbornly refusing its census for more than 40 years, under false pretexts that are unacceptable in terms of international humanitarian law, said Monday Morocco's Permanent Representative in Geneva, ambassador Omar Zniber.

The statement by the U.S. State Department spokesperson affirming that the US position on the recognition of Morocco's sovereignty over its Sahara remains "unchanged" has "dashed" the hopes of circles hostile to the Kingdom which should inevitably adapt their approach to the American vision on the issue, says political scientist Mustapha Tossa.
