The speech by His Majesty King Mohammed VI on the occasion of the 69th anniversary of the revolution of the King and the people highlighted the commendable and successful management of the Moroccan Sahara issue during the last decade, said Ibrahim Blali Essouih, member of the Royal Advisory Council for Saharan Affairs (CORCAS).

Portuguese expert and journalist Leonídio Paulo Ferreira, called on his country to strengthen its position on the Moroccan Sahara and follow Madrid's example by taking a similar step regarding the autonomy initiative.

The Kingdom of Morocco welcomes the decision of the Republic of Peru to withdraw its recognition of the so-called "sadr" - taken a year ago- and to support the Kingdom's territorial integrity and its autonomy initiative, a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Abroad said.
