Belgian figures from various backgrounds have launched in Brussels a platform of support for the Moroccan autonomy plan for the Sahara.

Morocco's autonomy initiative for the Sahara is the only basis for peace and development in the region, according to Chilean expert in international relations and president of the Africa Latina International Foundation, Antonio Aguilar.

The Central American Parliament (Parlacen) expressed its "sincere congratulations" to Morocco following the efforts made by Rabat and Madrid to "end the dispute over the Moroccan Sahara."

Lebanese writer and journalist, Khairallah Khairallah, said that Algeria should take the good side of the new Spanish position and align itself with Madrid's stance on the Moroccan Sahara.
