Guatemala decided Thursday to open a consulate in Dakhla, while reaffirming its support for the autonomy plan under Moroccan sovereignty as the only solution to the regional dispute over the Moroccan Sahara.

The President of the Union of Comoros, Azali Assoumani, reiterated, Thursday before the United Nations General Assembly in New York, "the unwavering support" of his country for the Moroccanness of the Sahara.

Head of Government, Aziz Akhannouch reaffirmed, Tuesday in New York, Morocco's commitment to reach a final political solution to the artificial regional dispute over the Sahara, based on the Moroccan autonomy initiative and within the framework of national sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Kingdom.

Monday in Dakhla, protocols of agreement were signed concerning investment in many sectors of activities, creating job opportunities, stimulating investment, and establishing investment funds.
